These products enable you to drill out a stripped or otherwise damaged thread in a blind hole. You can then insert a replacement thread with the coiled thread inserts and regain full function of the threaded hole, often giving a much stronger thread than the original one. This also works when a damaged stud or screw shaft has been removed. The basic thread repair kit includes: drill bit, thread tap, insertion tool, tag punch and 10 inserts of the nominated thread size.
